Dr. Tara Kannan began her musical journey at age 10 under Gurus Smt. Ketaki Marathe and Shri Mukund Marathe.
She later trained under Pt. Pradeep Natekar and Prof. Ojesh Pratap Singh, senior disciple of Padmashri Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar.
She completed her Masters, MPhil (Gold Medals), and PhD in Music with a JRF from the Government of India.
A recipient of the Ministry of Culture National Scholarship, she is a B-High graded AIR artist and published researcher.
Currently, she serves as Assistant Professor at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, Pune.
