Explicating the Existential Aesthetics of Articulation and Diction: An Interdisciplinary perspective specific to Bharatiya Shastriya Sangeetam

Beyond the realm of Lakshana (grammar), Shastriya Sangeetam manifests the ‘Self’ through practice, where aesthetics culminate as ParabrahmasvAdA — the Rasa. Classical music’s core lies in the experiential emotion (RasAnubhUti) realized via ornamentation, articulation, and diction in performance. This study briefly explores the existential aesthetics of articulation, highlighting how tradition and creative expression intertwine to evoke eternal bliss in the listener.
